The pandemic has made many people realize the importance of a stimulating, friendly, respectful and flexible work environment. With labor shortages plaguing all sectors of society, Ricova is no exception, and needs experienced workers to fill positions essential to the pursuit of its mission: to protect the environment and become a leader in zero waste. It’s time for a career change, or time to find a job that will satisfy your desire to be part of real change!

Ricova is a large family of some 200 employees united by common values: respect, passion, efficiency, and concern for the environment. Ricova has found a way to combine its social mission with its environmental mission, by promoting and implementing these values with employees, customers, and partners alike.

Some 40 members of the Ricova family have been with the organization for over 15 years. At the St-Michel sorting center, for example, 14 employees have been with the company for over 20 years. So it is possible to make a difference every day…for a long time to come!

“Our employees and business partners come from a wide variety of backgrounds and social backgrounds, and Ricova is proud to have such great diversity. For us, it’s a wealth of different experiences, points of view and visions through which we can acquire the know-how and interpersonal skills that set us apart.”

The primary benefit of working for Ricova is, of course, the feeling of making a difference and contributing to the collective effort of protecting the environment. In 2017, the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, exclaimed that there was no “Planet B”. The time to act is now, and as Ricova’s slogan so aptly puts it: every gesture counts.

But it’s possible to combine business with pleasure when you have a job in recyclables management, like at Ricova. You save the environment one day at a time, while enjoying competitive salaries and enviable benefits: group insurance, corporate activities, employee assistance programs and much more!

Labor shortages and the growing volume of recyclable materials (just think of e-commerce delivery boxes) have accentuated the company’s need for drivers and heavy-duty vehicle mechanics. These specialized jobs offer excellent working conditions, and the workers are recognized in society as providing essential services! Ricova is looking for these shifts, which are invaluable in maintaining its operations.

Ricova specializes in recycling, from collection and transportation to processing and recovery. In short, it collects recycling directly from citizens or businesses, then processes the contents in sorting centers for recovery by third-party companies. This whole chain also requires sorters and operators to handle and ensure the smooth running of the process.
